6 Chinese Entities Blacklisted Over Balloon

Commerce Department will no longer allow them to receive exports from the United States

The Department of Commerce added five Chinese companies and one Chinese research institute to its blacklist for U.S. exports for their alleged involvement in a suspected surveillance balloon program based in Beijing. After President Biden’s administration shot down the large Chinese balloon that had floated over America, a series of responses have been taken by the U.S. toward the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

The companies added to the export blacklist all have close ties with the Chinese military and the manufacturing of aviation products. “Today’s action demonstrates our concerted efforts to identify and disrupt the PRC’s use of surveillance balloons, which have violated the airspace of the United States and more than forty countries,” said Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Export Enforcement Matthew Axelrod.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Assistant Secretary Axelrod as he oversees Export Enforcement.
  • For Secretary Gina Raimondo to seek God’s guidance as she heads the Commerce Department.
  • For the president and U.S. governing officials as they determine how to respond to China’s surveillance.
